Course Description

This objective of this course is to enable students to (1) understand the fundamental concepts in finance; (2) assess alternative investment possibilities; and (3) evaluate different sources of financing projects.


Course Intended Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to

· Explain the fundamental concepts in finance;

· Analyse alternative investment possibilities;

· Evaluate different sources of financing projects for financial decisions.

Eligibility

A student who is currently studying for a bachelor degree.


Pre-requisite

ACCT2003/ ACCT2043 Principles of Accounting I/ ACCT20238002 Introduction to Financial Accounting (for minor programme only)/ ACCT20238003 Introduction to Financial Accounting (for non-major students)/ ACCT2033 Introduction to Financial Accounting (for non-BBA major students)


Course Fee

  1. RMB5,000 for UIC, HKBU and HKCHC students;

  2. RMB7,500 for the students from other colleges/ universities.


Accomodation Fee

  1. UIC students (Non-graduates): RMB10/ Person/ Day

  2. UIC graduates: RMB60/ Person/ Day

  3. HKBU, HKCHC and other students: RMB60/ Person/ Day


Note: The standard fee for summer accommodation in student hostel for 2025 is subject to final confirmation.
