Course Description
This course introduces the basic techniques in matrix algebra, which is the foundation for more advanced mathematics and statistics subjects. Major emphasis will be on the system of linear equations, linearly independence in finite dimensional vector spaces.
Course Intended Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to
· Describe the basic concepts in linear algebra in the area of systems of linear equations, matrices and vector spaces;
· Apply the properties of these concepts to determine the solution of linear systems and to analysis the property of a vector space;
· Apply the theories of matrices to solve practical problems.
