Course Description

This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the role and significance of communication in the public affairs and political sphere. By exploring various theories, strategies, and practices, students will develop critical insights into how communication shapes public opinion, influences political behavior, and impacts decision-making processes within various societies.


Course Intended Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to

· Explain the process of public affairs and communication;

· Evaluate the persuasive contents in public affairs and communication;

· Assess the importance of public affairs and communication, and how it shapes our lives;

· Analyze the factors influencing public affairs and communication.

  1. RMB5,000 for BNBU, HKBU and HKCHC students;

  2. RMB7,500 for the students from other colleges/ universities.


Accomodation Fee

  1. BNBU students (Non-graduates): RMB10/ Person/ Day

  2. BNBU graduates: RMB60/ Person/ Day

  3. HKBU, HKCHC and other students: RMB60/ Person/ Day


Note: The standard fee for summer accommodation in student hostel for 2026 is subject to final confirmation.
