General Principles
All students are allowed to retake the course in which he/she has failed.
The total number of units taken in each semester, including the repeating course, must NOT exceed 21.
For students of 2017 cohort and before, they may only repeat courses with Grade C or below to improvement of their GPA. All courses repeated or retaken for points are counted in the GPA calculation the same way as new courses.
For students of 2018 cohort and onward, students may only repeat courses with Grade F or Grade U to retrieve the failure. Students, however, may be required by the Programme to repeat courses with less than satisfactory grades to fulfil specific course or programme requirements. Only the highest grade of the repeated course will be included in the calculation of cGPA. The number of units gained for the repeated course is counted once only. Students can only repeat the same course twice. There is no limit on the number of courses to be repeated.
