Students who fail a course due to failure in the written final examination of that course may be allowed to sit for a supplementary examination if recommended by the Faculty/School Dean in consultation with the relevant course instructor/Programme Director.

The recommendation to take a supplementary examination for a failed course should be approved by the Senate.

Grade D is the maximum grade for the course after a supplementary examination.
